Vision.

To qualify as a reliable partner and to be able to produce an exclusive Hellebore niger for an exclusive market it is of great importance to innovate continuously. This is also one of the main reasons why FBA Plants is founded, namely to specialize entirely on the Hellebore niger based on classic breeding. In our laboratory various somatic crossings are carried out whereby different methods are used. Besides developing new varieties, FBA Plants also performs crossings and tests to improve existing varieties. This means making the plant stronger en resistant to diseases, which in turn will result in reduced usage of pesticides and fertilizers. This is performed on a sustainable and responsible manner. It is important that the Hellebore niger also can live under different circumstances than its habitat.
